Vic Watkins
I was raised in a Christian home, where Christ entered into my life at the early age of seven. God has led me through all the important decisions of my life. First, in 1970 He led me to marry Linda, my wife of 50 years, and He has blessed our family of three children who all married Christian spouses and have each led their families to be committed to Christ. We are now the happy grandparents of 11 grandchildren! Second, in 1977 God moved us from our home in Michigan to start Beacon Baptist Church. The church has grown through strong expository preaching and a resolute commitment to the Great Commission. Finally, in 2007 God led us to invite our son, Matthew to join me in ministry. It has been a joy and blessing to serve alongside my son. In my free time I enjoy working with my hands or just relaxing with ice tea on the front porch.
